This month Social’s saw us doing a static "show and shine” catch up at a members mancave. It was more of a well done for showing up as there was no shine, just patchy rain. Still, about 18 cars came through, including a few well-known club cars and some welcome new attendees.

A clean VX GTS with the infamous Callaway 300 motor, a lovely VF 30 Maloo, VF GTSR, VS GTSR Rep, VS Clubby, VY Clubby, and very tidy VL HDT Sport Rep, plus a handful on mid 90’s Maloos and a few Holdens to suit. Understandably and couple of 4WD'S were swapped in with the inclement weather.
We enjoyed a good banter and a few beverages over the arvo, as well as brisket rolls that went down well. Whilst we didn’t win the weather lotto, a great arvo was had. Thanks to all the members who attended and our committed committee who helped on the day.
Looking forward, we are pumped about some good weather and events that will see us enjoying our cars. September is Busy with a few great events locked in.
The annual Peter Brock Memorial Cruise - Saturday 5th September, we’re keen to see a great turnout to pay resents to the great man. There will be a country road cruise out there followed by a pub lunch nearby. Perfect outing for you and the family and or mates. Check the website for details.
Festival of Motorsport is on Sunday 20th September and is an epic event with heaps of car clubs on display, the Tarmac West racing happening around the Langley Park grounds and lots of activities for kids of all ages. If you are keen to display your HSV/HDT on the day, we’d love to hear from you, the more the merrier. If not come down, say g'day and check out the range of cars on display and club merch for sale.
If you aren’t around for either of these events, head out to Wanneroo on Sept 13th to see the HSV Motorsport gang in action. Great as a spectator, but be careful, the bug does bite….in the best possible way.
See you soon, and as always we are here to chat about any suggestion you have for social events: [email protected]
Cheers, Anthony and Simon
