2026 - May - Social

Our Torque & Talk carpark meet on Sunday 17th May was a hit. Ripper weather and great service from Sam and the Inbetween Café team helped make for a successful morning. Good chat and laughs, and some new faces amongst the diehards.

We had 33+ cars with a great mix of members HSV and HDT’s, some stunning steel bumper Monaro’s and a few non-member drop ins from mates and people new to the club who had seen on our socials. 2 Walky’s, a well-known VK with pretty special running gear, an E2 GTS with 2800kms from new, a Monaro with the numbers 632 on the front quarter…..just to name a few. And on the other side of the carpark a tidy R35 and something called XR8 and Bronco hid a few bays over, good diversity.

Next time we will make it an hour shorter and set off on a few coastal cruises (North and South) afterwards for those wanting to enjoy the longer way home. A group of us enjoyed the beachside drive and ended up out the front of Tesla in Freo, the HSV/HDTs offered a good contrast to the window dressing on site.

We are throwing a few new events out for the year. Thinking a few meet and cruises, come and see motorsport events, our come and try for those wanting track time, as well as a mix of family friendly options. Winter always makes for a risky dart throw, but we have some cool things in the wings. Website updates up this next week.

Thanks to all the committee members who helped make it a success, bring on the next one!
