With no official club events on the calendar this month, things might look quiet from the outside — but behind the scenes, the Social Team has been flat-out getting everything ready for a huge year ahead.

Planning is well underway for the 2026 events calendar, and work is continuing on the upcoming Gala Dinner. While we’ve had a rare breather from weekend runs and displays, the committee has been putting in the hours to make sure next year is packed with a wider variety of activities for all members to enjoy.

One of the biggest developments is that, with the full committee’s blessing, the Social portfolio will be transitioning to a sub-committee structure next year. This is the same model currently used successfully for Motorsport and Merchandise. The aim is simple:
more ideas, more hands, and more events.
By tapping into the experience and creativity of a larger group of members, we’ll be able to deliver a broader range of social events and increase how often they’re held throughout the year.

Although this month didn’t feature any official meets or cruises, we’re using the time to build momentum for what’s shaping up to be one of our strongest years of social activities. Stay tuned — the calendar ahead is looking big, diverse, and full of reasons to get the car out of the garage.
