2025 - May - Social

It’s been a little while since our last blog update — October, to be exact — and there’s a good reason for the quiet on this front. At the start of the year, the club held its Annual General Meeting, and a newly re-elected committee was formed. With that, I stepped into the role of Social Member, following in the footsteps of Kim Jacobs, who did a truly fantastic job during his time in the role. A big thank you to Kim for his dedication and energy — it’s certainly big shoes to fill!

Now that the gears are turning again, we’ve had a couple of fantastic events to kick off the year and set the tone for what’s to come.

☕ Freo Mornings at Cos Baby Café
Our first social outing of 2025 saw club members gathering in Fremantle for a relaxed morning at Cos Baby Freo, a tucked-away laneway café with great vibes and even better coffee. Members met early to grab a cheeky brew, chat cars, and enjoy each other's company. The weather came to the party too, making it a perfect morning for a meet-up.

🌞 End-of-Summer Coastal Cruise
In mid-March, we fired up the engines for our much-loved End-of-Summer Cruise. Originally thought to be the final farewell to the warm cruising weather — we’ve since learned the sun has no intention of leaving us just yet!

Starting in Hillarys, the cruise took us on a scenic drive along Perth’s stunning coastline, winding all the way down to Gage Roads Brewery in Fremantle. For those who didn’t want to make the trip up north, we had a midway meeting point at a coastal carpark, allowing more members to join in with ease.

The destination didn’t disappoint — Gage Roads Brewery delivered a delicious lunch, cold drinks, and unbeatable views of the bustling Fremantle Harbour. It was a perfect blend of cars, conversation, and coastal charm.

🔧 Behind the Scenes: Planning for More
While April was a quieter month on the social front, that certainly doesn’t mean things have stopped! The committee has been working hard behind the scenes to plan a packed calendar of social events for the months ahead.

We’re also excited to hear from you, our members! In the coming weeks, we’ll be launching a club survey, giving you the chance to share your thoughts on how you’d like events to run, what activities you’re most interested in, and how we can make the club’s social scene even better.

🎉 Stay Tuned – Big Things Coming
Rest assured, the Social Committee is far from idle — we’re gearing up to announce several new events that we can’t wait to share with you. From casual catch-ups to bigger adventures, we’re committed to making the HSV Owners Club of WA a place where community thrives both on and off the road.

Keep your eyes on the blog, socials, and inboxes — exciting times are just around the corner.
