It's been a busy hear both for the club in terms of social events and for me personally, but I hope the events that have been run throughout the year have been fun for everyone who has attended. As always, I welcome suggestions, so if you have an idea, please come and chat, I am always open to new ideas.
Planning is underway for next years events calendar and I hope to provide another year full of great cruises, meets and car related events so you can bring your pride and joy out and come meet some like-minded enthusiasts.
Earlier this month we ran the 3rd edition of our South West Cruise. This year was a huge turnout, with 20 cars making the trip down from Perth to Margaret River, via Australind, Busselton, Dunsborough and a few scenic locations along Caves Rd before finally ending up in Margaret River. It was also the first time we've all made it down and back without losing a car to mechanical issues, so that is a big bonus! We also made new friends in Margaret River who own a HSV and have since joined the club. Whilst we were in town, we also hosted a Cars and Coffee event in the middle of town. This was pretty popular and we had some cars join us from Margaret River and surrounding towns, and hundreds of people walk through to check it all out. We also sold over $700 of merchandise thanks to Leonie and her little helper Summer!
Thank you to everyone who came and took part, some of you it was your 3rd time, some it was your 2nd and others it was their 1st and hopefully, no matter what number it was for you, it wasn't your last! We will be running it again in the new year, so keep your eyes peeled for where/when!
The weekend after we tagged along the the Shannon's Mandurah Cars and Coffee event, however, due to a medical issue, I was unable to attend myself. Thanks to Karen and those who went down and flew the flag for our club. We will try and do similar again to help recruit some new members / concession members to help bolster our club!
As you are well aware, this coming weekend is our Christmas Function at Whiteman Park. I hope to see you there.
