Hope you're staying dry! Just a quick note to highligh some of the upcoming events organised.
Without your support, these events don't happen. It's a lot of work and effort by myself and the committee to organise and ultimately run these events, so if you're on the fence about anything, please consider joining in to help make these events a success. Of course, registration on the Club website or Facebook Events (when they exist) is essential, and the earlier the better, so we can determine numbers well in advance.
On Sunday evening, we had our Cars and Burgers which was a pretty small turnout, but thanks to those who did brave the weather and come out. I am glad I moved the venue to somewhere closer to home, as driving out to Lesmurdie in that weather wasn't high on my list of things I wanted to do! Those who came had a good meal and enjoyable time, finished with an ice cream next door afterwards!
Saturday 10th August is the AUTO FX Social Event - Launch of New Car Care Range - Mastersons Car Care, from 9am at 21/5 Hines Road, O'Connor. There's a meet and great with Mr Masterson, the original chemical engineer from The Chemical Guys, and FREE Sausage Sizzle and Coffee Truck. Registrations are a must, via the club website or via Facebook. Big thanks to Des for organising this for the club!
Also, to be included in this update is the Peter Brock Memorial Cruise to be run in early September, The Celebration of Motorsport Car Show (in mid September over the Targa Weekend) and the General Motors Day Car Show on the 6th of October. More to come on these events in due course
Last thing from me for now, is the much anticipated Weekend Cruise to Manjimup on the 16th and 17th November. We have finally made a decision to visit Manjimup and you can start booking in your accommodation at the Majimup Motor Inn on 0436 306 656. We already have 10 rooms secured I think, but we welcome any of our club members to come along! If you're unsure about it, because you've never met anyone in the club before, this is the perfect way to do it. Everyone who has come on this trip so far has enjoyed it, with most attending multiple events since. Last year we had 20 cars go down to Margaret River, I am hoping to go bigger this year! Event registration via the club page or the Facebook event page. If you want to chat to me about the event, feel free to shoot me a message or email.
Thats all from me this month
