Thats the first half of 2024 done and dusted. I hope you've had a productive start to the year. Personally, it's been a hectic start to 2024, but I don't know life any other way!
Earlier last month we received some mail that the organisers of the CurtinFM 100.1 Car Show were partnering with the Chevrolet Club of W.A Inc to put together a new and improved General Motors Day WA show, in conjunction with the CurtinFM Car Show. I have put in our club's registration for 25 cars, but we have the ability to change it, should we need more (hopefully) or less spots. Registration via the clubs Facebook group is here or via the clubs website here
I would love to get a large contingent of our member's vehicles there for this one. Without our support these shows don't go on, and then we complain that there's nothing for us to take our car to. This is a chance to support the new show and really showcase our club, so I ask everyone to consider entering their pride and joy! It doesn't have to be perfect, it doesn't have to be a show car. Period correct, standard, race modified, whatever it is, it's now a desirable car to display, especially at this sort of event. This will be a fully club sanctioned show, so those on club rego can get to the day via the app.
The details are as follows:
DATE: 6 October 2024
LOCATION: Trinity Playing Fields - 6 Elderfield Rd Waterford
TIME: 9am - 3pm for set up pack down. NO VEHICLE MOVEMENT BETWEEN 10AM and 2PM
GATES OPEN TO PUBLIC: 10am - 2pm
TICKETS: Show vehicles and 1 passenger admitted free. Additional passengeres at gate prices
GATE TICKETS FOR SPECTATORS / GENERAL PUBLIC: Adults $10. Children under 16 FREE
In other event news, the events for the club go a bit quiet traditionally over June/July as no one wants to get their car wet! I will organise a cars and burgers event in July sometime, however I am also turning 40 in July, so I will be mourning the loss of my 30s. I am still in planning for our weekend away, but at the moment, I have other things to sort out, so I haven't really made too much progress with that, yet. Keep your eyes peeled though because it's coming.
Thats all from me.
Happy Financial New Year.
