The Celebration of Motorsport was an absolute ripper of a day for the club — and an even bigger win for the Merch Team. Despite the weather doing its best impression of a moody sprinkler, you legends still showed up, supported the club, and helped us bring in a massive $2,259 in merch sales. One of the biggest stars of the day? Our beautiful winter soft‑shell jackets, which were flying off the table and keeping members warm through the drizzle.

As the day rolled on, the crowds grew, the cars kept coming, and the energy around the merch tent never dipped. Even with the on‑again, off‑again rain, members were out in force — chatting, browsing, grabbing gear, and making the most of the event. It was one of our strongest turnouts yet, and the support meant the world to us.

A massive shout‑out to the Pres, who fired up the BBQ and kept everyone fed throughout the day. And a special shout to Michael Bowyer, who jumped in to help cook the snags and onions — absolute legend effort that kept the whole crew fuelled and smiling. The smell drifting across the grounds definitely helped draw people in, and it created the perfect hub for members to gather, laugh, and enjoy the afternoon once the skies finally cleared.

With summer just around the corner, we’re already thinking ahead to the next wave of merch. We want gear that’s fun, fresh, and perfect for the warmer months. A few ideas already floating around include bucket hats (bucket hats) and HSV‑themed Hawaiian shirts (HSV Hawaiian shirts). But we want your ideas too — whether it’s something practical, something bold, or something totally out of left field. The best merch always comes from member creativity.
