2025 - November - Motorsport

Well another year has passed us by and the motorsport trophies are all set to be presented once again. Unfortunately the Collie Cup will be missing this year, as you know, the facility is getting a makeover which had the effect of cancelling our long held Weekend in November.

It was a fairly average year as far as attendance to events goes, like we keep harping on about, it is critical to get 40+ entrants to make these events sustainable into the future. 2026 will be another difficult year with big ticket events spaced out over the year. We have a few different style events to fill in the gaps so i hope everyone will support and enjoy this variation.

The calendar is elsewhere in the magazine but suffice to say, we need a big turnout for our 1st event, February 22nd Wanneroo Sprint Day. Being February and the likelyhood of a hot day, we are planning on doing something new and will be splitting the day day with the MX-5 club thus making the day 2 x events. The morning will be a quickfire early start sprint day before the heat cranks up. The afternoon will be a point to point event utilising both the full circuit and the pit lane to create an interesting test while still getting to lap the circuit.

This will be an exciting collaboration with MX-5, they run a slick event and we get to do 2 x events for the price of 1 effectively expanding our calendar & hopefully filling our morning event with some of the mx-5 fold, their last p to p attracted 40+ entrants. Details will be released over Xmas break so keep an eye out for this exciting start to the year.
