2025 - August -Motorsport

Hi All

The year is flying by, so fast that we already have had the WASCC request for 2026 dates, it feels like only yesterday that we got 2025 locked down. The Committee needs to put in date requests by the end of September which means you people, the members, need to give us feedback on what you want for next year.

Honestly its been a tough year for entries to all events, with such a big financial commitment required by the club, we need to feel confident to book dates now that you guys & our partner clubs will support. It is an over $12000 commitment to run a full day Sprint at Wanneroo so you can see we need 40 entries just to break even at current entry prices.

With the untimely cancellation of our favorite event - The Collie Cup in November, we only have the Ride Day left this year as the only track day probably until Feb/March next year. The plan at this stage is to maybe run 2 x Collie Cups next year, one early to kick-off the season and one at the normal November spot. The question for members is what else do you want to see, obviously the Ride Day is a lock for December but do you want 2 x Wanneroo Sprints during the year?

Do you maybe want more Driver Training focus, maybe a mixed day, Sprint sessions with Driver Tuition mixed thruout the day.

Do you want 1/2 day Sprints were the day ends at Lunchtime?

We intend on working more colaboratively with our partner clubs including some new friends like BMW, JAG, Alfa, MX-5, Mustang, frankly any club that wants to come along is more than welcome. Remember anyone with a roadworthy vehicle is welcome and we are happy to run separate groups if that is what they prefer. If you know someone in another car club, ask the the question.
