The real motorsport season is kicking into gear, Supercars, F1, Nascar, MotoGP and so it is for our club. Some have had a little season opener with the Autotest at Midvale. The tricky round 1 was a good starter but the big guns should be out to play with our 1st of only 3 visits to the Wanneroo (CARCO) Raceway this year.
Round 2 of the championship is on Sunday 17th March and will be run by our friends at the Porsche Club. All the details are now live on their website, its a very similar entry process to ours, all online, so get cracking.
Please note, you will need to hold a AASA Basic License to compete in ALL events this year. Your Old CAMS or MA will not be accepted due to the ongoing political battles between the 2 entities. Both HSV and Porsche clubs have decided to stick with AASA, most members will need to renew their license at some stage during the year so just make sure you let the MA lapse & buy the AASA now to avoid any dramas.
After March, the events keep coming, an early year trip to Collie was requested and so April 28th, Porsche are hosting round 3 of the Championship. This should be perfect camping weather, hopefully not too hot or cold, get yourself organized and enjoy a weekend away. Collie is an awesome facility to stay and race. Details and entries will be emailed soon so keep an eye out for that.
